USAID Southern Africa Trade Hub is Accepting Grant Concept Applications

SATH is seeking grant concept applications from national and regional organizations to implement activities to support the project objectives of increased international competitiveness, intra-regional trade, and food security in the SADC region. SATH will be looking to fund innovative concepts that clearly demonstrate how proposed regional activities will lead to an increase in international or regional trade across borders in Southern Africa.

During the first year of the project SATH launched a series of new initiatives that lay the foundation for delivering results through the outer years of the project. These include:

  • Enhancing Trade Liberalization in Southern Africa;
  • Activities aimed at reducing the time taken to 'Trade across Borders';
  • Improving energy regulation to encourage investment in clean energy; and,
  • Activities to increase international and regional trade in the priority value chains.
