According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, if women had equal access to and control over productive resources, agricultural production yields around the world would increase by 20-30%. This would in turn increase total agricultural output in developing countries by 2-4 percent and reduce the number of hungry individuals in the world by 12-17%, a staggering number.
