With the launch of the FTA in 2008, SADC Member States reached a important milestone in deepening integration in the region. Moving forward, SADC seeks deeper programs of integration both within SADC (with the possible establishment of a customs union) and beyond with the establishment of a Tripartite FTA. SATH partners with Member States and the SADC Secretariat across all these initiatives to bring about economically meaningful liberalization of trade in goods and services.
